privacy policy

1. Who we are

the procurement office ("tpo", "we", "us") is a professional procurement consultancy registered in Switzerland. For questions about this policy, contact us at hello@theprocurementoffice.com.

2. What data we collect and why

We collect data in two ways:

  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) — only if you give consent. GA4 collects pseudonymous usage data (pages visited, session duration, general location at city level, device type). No personally identifiable information is stored in GA4. Your IP address is anonymised before processing. Legal basis: consent (Swiss FADP / nDSG Art. 6 para. 6).
  • Contact form submissions — if you fill in our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interest / pre-contractual steps (Swiss FADP / nDSG Art. 6).

We do not collect sensitive personal data, run advertising campaigns, or sell data to third parties.

3. Cookies

This website uses one first-party cookie set by Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) to distinguish unique visitors. These cookies are only set after you explicitly accept analytics. No cookies are set if you decline or do not interact with the banner.

Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC. Data transfers to the United States are governed by the Swiss–US Data Privacy Framework (Switzerland's adequacy decision for US transfers under the FADP). See Google's privacy policy for details.

4. Data retention

  • GA4 analytics data: 14 months (Google's default retention period, which we have not extended).
  • Contact form enquiries: retained for 12 months after the last correspondence, then deleted.

5. Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP / nDSG, in force since 1 September 2023) you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 25 nDSG)
  • Correct inaccurate data (Art. 32 nDSG)
  • Request erasure or restriction of your data (Art. 32 nDSG)
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 30 nDSG)
  • Data portability (Art. 28 nDSG, where technically applicable)
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
  • Lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC — edoeb.admin.ch)

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@theprocurementoffice.com.

6. Manage your cookie consent

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
